AWAKEN YOUR SACRED METABOLISM AND
EAT EMPOWERED TO LIVE INSPIRED!
This is the fuel for a heart-inspired, energized LIFE. Often this is the fuel that is lacking when we have uncontrollable food cravings, imbalanced eating habits and frustrating digestive issues. My goal is to help you restore that essential balance with food, mood and appetite, so that you have reserve energy for all the other important areas of your life.
A Well Stocked Fridge
I am often asked how it’s possible to eat well, and not spend crazy amounts of time aimlessly roaming the grocery store or wondering what to prepare for the next meal…..
My answer is a well stocked fridge with something for every appetite! So this week, I decided to LAY BARE the contents of my own fridge and share my secrets to delicious and nutritious meals – that are quick and easy to prepare.
I am also going to share a fabulous recipe for my famous Power Breakfast Granola which will keep you feeling full and satisfied well beyond the mid-morning hunger pangs…… Read the rest of this entry »
If You Want Something in your Life – GIVE IT!
The night before Valentine’s Day found me tossing and turning with the thought of yet another anxiety provoking “holiday”. It ranks up there along with Christmas and New Years for being one I most dread – primarily for the question that is asked – “What are you doing today?”
Having gone through a divorce, holiday’s like this can especially highlight the loneliness and cravings for deeper connection in my life. But instead of deciding to bury my head under the sheets and not come out until the day was over……. I had another thought. Read the rest of this entry »
I’d like to share with you one of my all time inspiring poems….
WEST WIND #2 by Mary Oliver
“You are young. So you know everything. You leap into the boat and begin rowing. But listen to me. Without fanfare, without embarrassment, without any doubt, I talk directly to your soul. Listen to me. Lift the oars from the water, let your arms rest, and your heart, and heart’s little intelligence, and listen to me. There is life without love. It is not worth a bent penny, or a scuffed shoe. It is not worth the body of a dead dog nine days unburied. When you hear, a mile away and still out of sight, the churn of the water as it begins to swirl and roil, fretting around the sharp rocks – when you hear that unmistakable pounding – when you feel the mist on your mouth and sense ahead the embattlement, the long falls plunging and steaming – then row, row for your life toward it.”
“Congratulations! You have a powerful life challenge that will transform you into your Highest Self. THIS IS NOT A WILLPOWER ISSUE.” Marc David, Institute for the Psychology of Eating.
From the “Eating Psychology” approach, binge eating is simply a big energy that has gotten stuck. When we learn to identify, and then release this energy – we are actually able to tap into a BIG powerful force that supports us to achieve our higher goals and a more fulfilled, energized life.
Have you ever noticed when you are absorbed in a soul nourishing activity, such as a fun creative outlet, playing with kids or pets, gardening, reading an inspirational book, or anything else that makes your heart sing…., then you are less likely to crave physical food at those times? In my own healing, I have noticed that the more I clamor after “the fix”, the deeper I got into a rabbit hole of twists and turns that did not really serve my healing process. Once I learned to let go of the quick fix, healing was a much more joyful experience.
CURE = HEALING =
* Quick fix * On going
* Not always permanent * Long term/ Life process
* Manufactured (science, * Organic – evolving
* One size fits all * Unique to every individual
* Externally imposed * Processing of an internal landscape.
* Focus is on outer * Inner peace of mind
appearance. (eg. weight
loss doesn’t match inner
* Given by an “expert” * YOU become your own expert.
* Personal. You are doing * Global. Healing yourself
it for yourself. helps others to heal.
* Stuck in “Story” * Re-invention of Self Identity
Come join me for my presentation on “Boosting Your Immunity” and a deeper exploration of these ideas of Healing vs Cure.

Find the Balance in Giving and Receiving
This is a tricky balance to keep because life is constantly pushing us to do more and more each day……, and it feels like saying NO is just not an option. It feels like we are living in an especially chaotic time where we are being stretched to our limits – and beyond. I think of this giving and receiving energy as 2 fuel gauges. Typically, our Giving Tank is FULL to the brim, but our Receiving Tank is running on empty. For a healthy harmonious life, there needs to be a balance between the two. Read the rest of this entry »
“Original Medicine” is a term used by Native Americans which refers to your unique gifts, attributes and abilities that you bring to this life.
I have been drawn to explore this for myself
recently, as I am growing bolder in my readiness to claim and proclaim my powerful essence to the world. I am realizing that we each have a responsiblity to SHARE our gifts with each other, and not shy away or hold back from this. This is the stuff of magic that makes the world go around and enriches our connectedness to life and each other. But what is it precisely
, and why does it seem to take some people so long to figure it out? When we finally realize our Original Medicine, what are some obstacles to letting it shine? And why do we resist becoming our fullest, most self-empowered, radiant Self – even though that is what makes us feel truly happy? Read the rest of this entry »
A HOME FOR YOUR
BEAUTIFUL BOUNDLESS BODY.
What Will It Look Like?
Your house shall be not an anchor but a mast.
You shall not fold your wings that you may pass
through doors, nor bend your heads that they strike
not against a ceiling, nor fear to breathe.
Your house shall not hold your secret
nor shelter your longing.
For that which is boundless in you
abides in the mansion of the sky,
whose door is the morning mist, and
whose windows are the songs and silences of the night.
Kahlil Gibran: The Prophet
This has been my challenge for about the past year. And I don’t mean that I just don’t feel like it – I mean that I actually struggle to physically move. It is as though my body is stuck like glue to the mattress and has become as heavy as led.
At first, I thought it was just tiredness and tried to remedy this by going to bed at a more reasonable time. But that did not make any change to what happened when my alarm clock went off…. a dreaded sense of being paralyzed. Read the rest of this entry »
